Teens Fund Raising Day
WMC teens recently (on Sunday the 6th of July 2008) had their fund raising day by opening a Sunday Teens Cafe at Jerusalem room selling anything from sandwich to fried rice and beverages. The purpose of this was to collect enough fund to support their outreach ministry. WMC teens will visit the Pelangi Kasih Orphanage in Desa Cijayanti, Sentul. It was a successful fund raising day for the teens as it is the first time for them to be “running” a cafe. Congratulations to the WMC teens for working so hard to make this a successful day. From the sale profit, they collected Rp 935,000 + donation Rp 400,000. So total fund they raised is Rp 1,335,000.
“On behalf of WMC Teens Fellowship, I’d like to say thank you for your support, generosity encourage the teens fundraising activity. It was a very successful event for the teens. They were so excited to run the cafe. This is the first time for them. It was a miracle for them to be able to run the cafe that Sunday.” [Vivi Trenggono, WMC Teens Coordinator]

I( Vivi Trenggono ) have been there twice. The orphanage is so homy.
you feel like at home.
This will be a good exposure for the teens to learn from the orphanage.. how to run an orphanage, make friends and learn from the people there.. the staff, the kids and the teens, and many other things.
About Orphanage Pelangi Kasih in Desa Cijayanti, Sentul:

Rice Distribution & Free Medication
We have just had our rice distribution & free medication day on the 22nd June 2008. As usual, we distributed 100 bags (4kg) of rice and provided minor treatment to 40 patients.
Providing rice distribution and free medication is something that we try to do on a monthly basis and is a part of our outreach ministry. We hope to use this to create an awareness and be a channel of blessings for our surrounding community. This will be inline with our vision which is to being a recognized Christ presence in Penjaringan.
We want to thank those who have taken part in this ministry (our council members & church members) and our appreciation to Dr. Santayana Daulay and Dr. Rebeka Daulay. Even-though their journey to WMC Jakarta was not without minor incident, they were able to come and provide the medication to their patients.

Distributing rice to the surrounding community and even to the cleaning ladies who without them, our church’s rubbish will not be cleaned.

Doctors and members providing check ups and consultations.
See you in the next rice distribution and free medication ministry.
